Titans' Jeffery Simmons reveals he had elbow cleanup in the offseason

The Tennessee Titans were back on the field at minicamp, and after practice, star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons met with the media to discuss his offseason.
While he was at the podium, he talked about working on the side instead of going full throughout the open sessions, and he revealed that he underwent a cleanup procedure on his elbow earlier in the offseason, which has his right elbow feeling great as the team takes a break before training camp.

“Yeah, I’ve been dealing with – not to get too much into that, but I mean, I’ve been doing that. That’s the reason I have been wearing a brace, in probably what? Two and a half years to where I wasn’t even able to straighten out my right arm.” Simmons said, “So just to be able to get that cleaned up is one of those things where I feel good. I don’t think there will be a big difference from last year, because, like I said, or the years in the past, with the brace this year, who knows? But at the same time, I feel great.”
As Simmons pointed out, the injury prevented him from straightening his right arm, making his incredible 2025 performance even more impressive. Simmons had a career year in 2025 and was arguably the best defensive tackle in the NFL. Now healthy, with even more talent around him, there is no doubt he could make a bigger impact in 2026.
