No. 6-seeded Taylor Fritz returns to Wimbledon where he’ll look to make another strong campaign.
After several deep runs at the All England Club in recent years, Fritz will again face an uphill battle to victory. With the official draw ceremony on Friday, the 28-year-old’s first round matchup was decided — British lefty Jack Draper — but his withdrawal through injury means he’ll now face Serbian Dusan Lajovic.
Fritz made his furthest Wimbledon campaign just last year, when he reached the semifinals and ultimately fell to Carlos Alcaraz. He also made quarterfinal runs in 2022 and 2024, though he will have little time to ease into the tournament this year with such a strong opponent in the first round.

Lorenzo Sonego was brushed aside in four sets to now face a fourth round tie against Alexander Bublik.
