Sporting Jax reveals fall women's soccer schedule. When is kickoff?

Sporting Club Jacksonville released its schedule for the Gainbridge Super League fall season, the second for the women’s soccer club.

Aug. 15 will be the opening day for the 14-game transitional season, which bridges the gap from the 2025-26 fall-to-spring season and the full-length 2027 spring-to-fall season. The United Soccer League in June announced its plans to realign the calendar.

The Sporting Jax women begin their fall schedule on Aug. 15 at Fort Lauderdale United FC, followed by the home opener at 7 p.m. Aug. 22 against Tampa Bay Sun FC. The league is reduced to eight teams after Spokane Zephyr ceased competition in May.

Sporting Jax midfielder Sophia Boman (3) advances the ball as Brooklyn FC fullback Leah Scarpelli (17) challenges during a May game.

The schedule lists seven home games at the University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium, with four games Saturday, two on Friday and one on Sunday.

The Sporting Jax women placed second during the regular season in their inaugural campaign in 2025-26 under head coach Stacey Balaam, qualifying for the semifinals before losing to Carolina Ascent FC.

Sporting Jax midfielder Ashlyn Puerta won the league’s player of the year award in her rookie campaign.
