See the moment the Cleveland Cavaliers made Meleek Thomas their pick

The Cleveland Cavaliers used the No. 34 overall pick to choose Arkansas guard Meleek Thomas in the 2026 NBA Draft Wednesday, June 25.

Thomas, 6-foot-5, 185-pounds, averaged 15.6 points on 43.5% shooting (41.6% on threes), 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He is expected to play on the Cavs NBA Summer League team as a point guard.

“Usually a guy of that caliber of scorer, that level of shot-maker, his profile, you get a lot earlier [than No. 34],” general manager Koby Altman said after making the selection. “So it made sense for us to move back, give us a little more flexibility when you’re able to acquire a second-round pick … We’re really excited about Meleek and his shot-making ability and his confidence level at 19 years old.”
