See Milwaukee shine in Bucks green in homage to Giannis, Portis

Milwaukee glowed in green Tuesday night, June 23, as a tribute to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis Jr. after the Milwaukee Bucks traded them to the Miami Heat.
Over a dozen city landmarks lit up to honor their contributions to Milwaukee during their time on the Bucks. For many, the players’ dedication to Milwaukee went far beyond the championship and memories.
The tribute united several corners of the city with a Bucks-colored spirit that couldn’t be ignored.
The Hoan Bridge, Hyatt Residency Milwaukee, Lakefront Brewery, Milwaukee County Courthouse and the Mitchell Park Domes were joined by other buildings across Milwaukee:
- 1522 on the Lake
- 330 Kilbourn
- 600 East
- 833 East Michigan
- Discovery World
- Graef
- MGIC
- Milwaukee County Historical Society
- Pritzlaff Building
- US Bank Center
- Zizzo Group Building
“Today feels like the end of an era,” Light the Hoan said in a Facebook post.
