The board at Real Madrid are all set to benefit from a piece of transfer business carried out by La Liga rivals Elche over the coming days.

This comes amid the understanding that Álvaro Rodríguez is on the verge of a move to England, with Bournemouth.

Frontman Álvaro is for his part fresh off something of a breakout campaign in Spain in 2025/26. Afforded a prominent starting role in the colours of the aforementioned Elche, the 21-year-old responded with an impressive haul of 12 La Liga goal contributions.

This production did not go unnoticed in the Premier League, with the aforementioned Bournemouth having long been tipped to launch a move for Álvaro.

And as alluded to above, this week, the Cherries appear to be closer than ever to landing their man.

As per a report from The Athletic:

‘Bournemouth are in advanced talks to sign Elche forward Álvaro Rodríguez. The deal, if completed, will be worth €30 million (€25m fixed & €5m bonuses) and the 21-year-old Real Madrid academy graduate is nearing a five-year deal.’

Elche, though, will be forced to immediately give up half of the fee secured for their young goalscorer.

Owing to a sell-on clause included in the deal which sent Álvaro to Alicante last summer, Real Madrid are entitled to 50% of any sum brought in. Los Blancos, as a result, are in line for an initial €12.5 million haul.
