Quinten Post signs with Grizzlies after Warriors refuse to match offer

The Memphis Grizzlies have officially added center Quinten Post via free agency, his representation Priority Sports revealed on July 7.
Memphis agreed to a three-year, $30 million offer sheet with Post on July 6. Golden State had until 10:59 p.m. central time on July 7 to match the offer or allow post to walk.
Post, 7-foot, 238 pounds, spent his first two seasons with the Golden State Warriors after being drafted 52nd overall in 2024. He has played in 109 games and made 49 starts, averaging 7.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 16.9 minutes per game.
With Zach Edey playing the role of a bruising rim protector, Memphis will get a different look with Post. He isn’t the rebounder or rim protector that Edey is, but he has made a strong impression early in his career as a 3-point shooter.
Through two seasons, Post is shooting 36.4% on 3-pointers while making 1.5 attempts per game. He has made more 3-point field goals (166) than shots inside the arc (150) in his career.
Memphis is still expected to add former Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart when that trade becomes final. Edey, Stewart and Post will give the Grizzlies three different types of centers and much-needed depth alongside the likes of No. 3 overall pick Cam Boozer and reigning first-team All-Rookie selection Cedric Coward.
