Thoughts
Veluri was originally committed to Army before flipping to Purdue after Barry Odom secured the head coaching job as a preferred walk-on. Itβs always a good thing when you can land a functional offensive line recruit for free. In this case, the more offensive linemen lotto tickets you buy, the better chance you have of one hitting. Offensive line, in my humble opinion, is the toughest position to project long-term in college football.
Sankeerth has prototypical size for an offensive tackle for a developmental player. He redshirted as a freshman last season and could find time on special teams in 2026. Odds are you wonβt see him this season as he continues to develop, but based on all the βStudent of the Weekβ honors he earned during his redshirt year, understanding the offense shouldnβt be an issue.
Store his name in the back of your brain; if he ends up being a factor for Purdue, it will be in 2o27 as a redshirt sophomore or 2028 as a redshirt junior. Right now, itβs all about eating and lifting for the big man out of Carmel.
