ESPN’s “College GameDay” has confirmed it will attend the Clemson at LSU game in Week 1 and the Ohio State at Texas game in Week 2 to begin the 2026 college football season. With a longer schedule and more shows due to the College Football Playoff, we don’t think GameDay will go anywhere in Week 0.
After Week 2, we predict every game the GameDay crew will attend. In Week 3, we predict GameDay will join in on the chaos of the LSU at Ole Miss game with the major storyline being Lane Kiffin’s return to Ole Miss. In Week 4, we predict GameDay will prefer the Oregon at USC game after attending three straight SEC games over the Oklahoma at Georgia game.
Week 5 does not have the best schedule and we think GameDay will use that week to attend a clash between ACC powers Miami and Clemson, but this week feels pretty wide open. In Week 6, we think GameDay will attend the Georgia at Alabama game over the Texas versus Oklahoma game. Texas-Oklahoma is played at a neutral site and GameDay tends to favor attending on-campus games.
Week 7 offers a rematch of the 2025 Big Ten championship, so we think the crew will attend the Ohio State at Indiana game over other top games including Alabama-Tennessee and Penn State-Michigan. Week 8 has the Ole Miss at Texas game and the Texas A&M at Alabama game and GameDay has already hit both of these campuses in our predictions, but we think GameDay is going back to Alabama!
In Week 9, we predict GameDay will take advantage of the weaker schedule to hit a Big 12 game between BYU and Arizona State. In Week 10, we have GameDay attending Oregon at Ohio State in a clash of national title contenders over Notre Dame versus Miami. Week 11 will be a playoff eliminator weekend for some teams and we predict GameDay to attend Ole Miss at Oklahoma.
Do you think GameDay will go a whole season without attending a Notre Dame game? We have GameDay attending the Notre Dame versus SMU game in Week 12. The following week, we predict GameDay visits Ohio State for the Michigan game in Week 13.
