Portsmouth Little League set for New England Regional. Here's schedule, how to watch
PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Little League 10- to 12-year-old all-star baseball team successfully navigated district and New Hampshire state tournament play.
Up next for Portsmouth is the New England Regional tournament in Bristol, Connecticut. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 7, with games beginning Saturday, Aug. 8. The field is at 335 Mix St. in Bristol and admission is free to all games.
The regional field includes Gray-New Gloucester Little League (Maine), Bridgewater Joe Lazaro Little League (Massachusetts), and Camels Hump Little League (Vermont).
When does Portsmouth play in New England Regional?
- Saturday, Aug. 8: Portsmouth vs. Vermont, 10 a.m.
- With a win against Vermont, Portsmouth would play the winner of Saturday’s game between Massachusetts and Maine on Monday, Aug. 10 at 9 a.m. A loss to Vermont would send Portsmouth into an elimination game on Sunday at 4 p.m. against the loser of the Massachusetts-Maine matchup.
- If Portsmouth earns victories on both Saturday and Monday, it would advance to the New England championship game Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.
- If Portsmouth loses its opener to Vermont and wins the Sunday elimination game, it would play an elimination game Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 1 p.m. with the winner going to the New England championship game Thursday, Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.
How to watch Portsmouth Little League in New England Regional
Games on Saturday and Sunday will be streamed live on ESPN+. Beginning Monday, all remaining games will be televised on ESPN networks, including Wednesday’s semifinal round and Thursday’s championship game.
