Pick of the stats: Derby County v Bolton Wanderers

Derby County will seek to stop the rot as the Championship weekend begins with the visit of Bolton Wanderers to Pride Park on Friday night (20:00 GMT).

The second-bottom Rams have taken just three points from their past 10 games and were thumped at home by Norwich on Tuesday, with pressure mounting on boss John Eustace, but do have a fine recent record against their visitors.

After a 1-0 win at Charlton on Tuesday the Trotters are 17th, seven points clear of the drop-zone, thanks largely to their fine recent form on the road.

  • Derby are unbeaten in their past 16 home league games against Bolton (W12 D4), winning the last six in a row.
  • Bolton have won just one of their past 11 Championship games against Derby (D4 L6), with this their first meeting in this division since a 4-0 loss in April 2019.
  • Derby are winless in their past 10 Championship games (D3 L7), losing 4-1 at Millwall and 4-0 against Norwich in their last two. They last conceded 4+ goals in three consecutive league games in November 1946.
  • After picking up just one point from their first three away league games this season (D1 L2), Bolton have now picked up 10 from their last four on the road (W3 D1).
  • Bolton’s Sam Dalby has scored six goals from just 10 shots on target in the Championship this season, with four of his six strikes coming away from home.
