Detroit Lions OTA Week 2 participation, injury analysis

The second week of Detroit Lions 2026 OTAs is complete. So here is a recap on participation and other notes from the week.
Keith Abney, CB
Good to see 5th-rounder Keith Abney featured at 📸https://t.co/luMEmS80Md.
Dan Campbell had mentioned a couple rookies would be limited at OTA, so can probably cross Abney off that list. Featured last week – Miller, Rolder, Law, Altmyer. pic.twitter.com/DpJnIlBd7e

The Lions’ 5th-round CB was featured in many pics in Week 2 of OTA. He may get a chance to have an important role in 2026 with both Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw recovering from shoulder surgeries.

ARSB had offseason knee surgery in 2025 and banged up his right knee at the end of the 2025 season, so it’s good to see no precautionary sleeve or wrap on his knees here in 2026.
Tate Ratledge, RG – neck?
Ratledge’s glorious rookie mullet continues to be MIA in OTA. A reminder that he may have cut his mullet last season because he started wearing a neck roll in Week 10. There were visible symptoms of a possible neck issue at multiple points last season. It’s something to keep an eye on for 2026.
