Ole Werner's RB Leipzig future "more uncertain than ever" as board reportedly backs sacking

There has been speculation about Ole Werner’s future at RB Leipzig for some time, and Sky Germany now reports that the situation has escalated further.
Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg claims Werner’s position is “more uncertain than ever”, claiming that the club’s board has spoken in favour of an immediate sacking.
Managing director for sport Marcel Schäfer now faces a tough decision, having so far strongly backed Werner and even considered a contract extension beyond 2027.
Werner arrived from Werder Bremen last summer and guided RB Leipzig to a third-place finish in the Bundesliga in his first season in charge.
