Ohio State football five-star recruit wins three state titles in track

Everyone knew that Ohio State football five-star recruit Jamier Brown was fast. But just how fast? No one had the full answer to that question until Sunday afternoon at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, where Brown would compete in the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Division II Track Meet. Turns out, the kid is really fast.
Competing against the best in the state, Brown won gold medals in three separate events. He was tops in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.42 seconds. He came in first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.91 seconds. And he teamed with three other speedsters to win the 4×100-meter relay in 41.53 seconds. All three races were very close. Brown also competed in the 4×400 relay, but his team would fall short, finishing 16th in that event.

Brown is the No. 4-ranked wide receiver in the 2027 class and is expected to enroll early at OSU, so this may be the last time for him in a track uniform. Ryan Day has to be giddy with that kind of speed coming in as a freshman next season.
