Notre Dame football has a fantastic 2027 recruiting class, and on Wednesday one of the current commits was ranked as a 5-star by 247Sports.
Offensive tackle Oluwasemilore Olubobola checked in at No. 17 overall, the third highest player ranked at his position. The 6-foot, 6-inch and 295-pounder committed to the Irish in the middle of May, as the mauler from New Jersey kept the pipeline to the East open.
Notre Dame has put plenty of emphasis on recruiting that region, with recent signees of safety Joey O’Brien, cornerback Khary Adams, offensive tackles Grayson McKeogh and Charlie Thom. There is plenty of potential for another one in the 2027 class as well, as recently the Irish received a crystal ball pick for 5-star edge Abraham Sesay.
If he was to commit, it would give Notre Dame two 5-star verbals according to the 247Sports rankings, one on each side of the ball.
