Well, we’re waiting!
LeBron James has not signed yet, which has caused a problem for the NBA and its schedule-makers.
Last week, NBA commissioner Adam Silver told CNBC it’s hard to make a schedule without knowing where one of the top stars is playing.
“And where LeBron plays will affect the schedule,” Silver said to CNBC. “So I would like him to make his announcement already, so we can finish the schedule, because, as you might imagine, the teams are calling us, the networks are calling us, and everybody wants to lock in the schedule. But it will influence how we set the schedule, how we set opening week, Christmas Day, etc. So I need him to make a decision. And, but the direct answer is, I have no inside information.”
So when will the NBA schedule come out?
We still don’t know where James is going to sign, but last year James was locked into a deal with the Lakers and we still didn’t have a schedule. Last year the NBA schedule was announced on Aug. 14.
The NBA will announce the full schedule for the 2025-26 regular season today at 3:15 p.m. ET.

So maybe James’ decision hasn’t set the league back too much when it comes to announcing the schedule.
We’ll know more in mid-August. If it’s much later than that, James could be the reason.
There have yet to be any leaks or confirmation of any games, including the Christmas Day lineup that features most of the top teams playing.
