MLB posts hilarious video tributing 'Love Island USA' star Kenzie Annis

Peacock sensation “Love Island USA,” the Americanized spinoff of the UK’s “Love Island,” recorded 2.3 billion minutes viewed through the first two weeks of Season 8 this month, per Deadline.

If you haven’t tuned in, you probably know at least one person who religiously watches this show every single day, and “Love Island” has almost assuredly infiltrated your favorite sports team, whether you like it or not.

Before the Season 8 premiere, Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins and Fernando Mendoza went viral for trying to understand the concept of the reality dating show.

Last week, four Dallas Cowboys weighed in on the chaos, with cornerback Josh Butler declaring the Islander Kenzie Annis “gotta go.”

“Love Island USA” returns to Peacock on June 2, 2026.

MLB respectfully disagrees, and the league’s social admin posted a hilarious eight-second video of several first basemen doing the splits while fielding an out in honor of Kenzie. The post has been viewed over 735,000 times on X and 116,000 times on TikTok. Appropriately, it’s soundtracked by “Make Money & Split” by Daniel Lobel featuring DEVMO.

Kenzie, 24, is an original cast member out of Kennesaw, Georgia. She graduated from nursing school days before entering the famed villa in Fiji. And since entering the villa, Kenzie cannot stop doing the splits at every opportunity.

Be prepared for more leagues and teams to have “Love Island USA”-coded posts this week in particular, as it’s “Casa Amor” week — the most outrageous week of the season every summer.

If you’re like Kirk Cousins and still don’t comprehend “Love Island USA,” just imagine if The Sims were dumped in a remote villa and with the sole objective of finding love — or getting famous — for four to six weeks. It’s glorious.

“Love Island USA” airs new episodes daily, except for Wednesdays, at 9 p.m. EST.
