Mississippi State football vs Alabama start time, TV channel announced for Week 5 game
STARKVILLE — The start time and TV channel for Mississippi State football’s Week 5 home game against Alabama were announced.
The Bulldogs (4-0, 2-0 SEC) will host the No. 8 Crimson Tide (4-0, 2-0) at Davis Wade Stadium on Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. on ABC.
It’s Alabama’s first time playing at Davis Wade Stadium since 2023. Alabama, now with third-year coach Kalen DeBoer after Nick Saban retired, has won 16 consecutive games in the series with MSU’s last win in 2007 in Starkville.
Alabama is one of Mississippi State’s three permanent opponents in the SEC’s new nine-game conference schedule.
The Crimson Tide have wins this season against East Carolina, Kentucky, Florida State and South Carolina. They took down South Carolina, 49-18, on Sept. 26 with five touchdowns from Keelon Russell.
MSU is coming off a dramatic 31-24 win over No. 21 Missouri where Kamario Taylor threw a game-winning touchdown to Sanfrisco Magee with 3:57 remaining.
