Michael Olise would be ‘special’ move for Real Madrid despite obstacles

For Bayern Munich fans, any suggestion that Michael Olise could leave the club is going to attract attention. After two outstanding seasons in Bavaria, the French attacker has established himself as one of the most important players in Vincent Kompany’s squad. Yet former France international Emmanuel Petit believes there is at least a scenario where Real Madrid could become a serious contender for his signature.

Petit explained why he thinks Olise would be an attractive fit at the Santiago Bernabéu.

“Michael Olise to Real Madrid? He won’t have to fight hard to play as a right winger. There is no big competition in this position at Real Madrid. It will be a huge transfer for Madrid if he goes there, especially for Kylian Mbappé as well,” Petit told BetVictor Live Casino. “That could be very important for Real Madrid. But again, Olise has played two great seasons for Bayern. Would he leave the club? I don’t see that coming, but it can happen. I won’t say one hundred percent he will stay at Bayern because we know Bayern Munich are known to sell their best players for a lot of money, even to their rivals. So I don’t see it coming but who knows? That could happen and it could be something great for Madrid and for Olise. It would be very special.”

Petit raises an interesting point about Real Madrid’s squad construction. While the Spanish giants have elite talent across the front line, a natural right-sided attacker of Olise’s caliber could give them another dimension. His creativity, dribbling ability, and chemistry with fellow French star Kylian Mbappé would undoubtedly be appealing.

Still, from a Bayern Munich perspective, there is little reason to believe a move is imminent. Olise has become a cornerstone of the club’s project, and Bayern Munich would be reluctant to part with a player entering the prime years of his career. Any potential suitor would likely need to present an enormous transfer fee, perhaps well into the €200 million range, while also convincing Olise that his future is brighter away from Munich.

For now, Petit’s comments feel more like a reminder of Olise’s growing status in world football than a sign that a transfer is around the corner. The fact that Real Madrid is even being mentioned underscores just how valuable Bayern Munich’s star winger has become.
