Miami Dolphins mandatory minicamp, Day 1 notes: JuJu Brents INT

MIAMI GARDENS ― The Miami Dolphins held a mandatory minicamp practice on Tuesday, June 2 at the Baptist Health training complex, the first of three straight sessions.
Here is some of what we saw:
* Aaron Brewer returned to practice. Coach Jeff Hafley said Brewer missed some voluntary OTA work for family reasons.
* All players were expected to be in attendance, Hafley said. Zach Sieler was present but did not wear a helmet or participate.
* Hafley said Malik Willis had his best practice last Friday.
* Hafley said Miami is focused more on execution than new installations at mandatory minicamp.
*Former Miami Dolphins coach Dave Wannstedt, a mentor of Hafley’s, attended practice. Former Dolphins player Trace Armstrong, Hafley’s agent, also attended.
*JuJu Brents intercepted Malik Willis on a possible miscommunication with a receiver in a short pass near the sideline.
*Malik Willis had a solid overall day, demonstrating arm strength and velocity. Willis continues to try to work out timing and rhythm and to find the same page as his new receivers.
*Greg Dulcich had a drop from Malik Willis.
*Malik Willis connected with Jalen Tolbert on an intermediate route.
*Terrace Marshall had a nice sideline grab from Quinn Ewers.
*Jalen Tolbert couldn’t haul in an intermediate route from Malik Willis.
*Zach Thomas and Dan Marino attended.
