The Memphis Grizzlies are trending toward an entirely new era. They’ve already traded away Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr., and Ja Morant could be gone soon.

Once that trio has all been moved on from, Memphis will officially be trying to win games with a new core, one that will get a boost in the 2026 NBA Draft.

This is considered a high-end draft class, particularly near the top, and that will be a big benefit for Memphis coming off a rough season.

It’s also worth paying attention during the draft’s first night on Tuesday, because it wouldn’t be shocking if Ja Morant was moved during the proceedings.

Regardless of what happens, we’ll keep track of all the Grizzlies action below.

These are how Sporting News grades each of the Grizzlies’ draft picks:

  • Round 1, Pick 3: Cameron Boozer – A
    • This was the perfect pick. AJ Dybantsa went first, Darryn Peterson went second, and the Grizzlies got the most mature basketball player in this draft at the third pick. Boozer might not have the same athletic upside, but he’s going to be a surefire high-end contributor for the next decade.
  • Round 1, Pick 16: Bennett Stirtz – traded
    • Stirtz is going to Oklahoma City for a couple second-round picks and the 17th pick.
  • Round 1, Pick 17: Ebuka Okorie – traded
    • Memphis traded down to this spot, then traded down again. Detroit moves up from 21 by paying three second-round picks to draft Okorie.
  • Round 1, Pick 21: Karim Lopez – B+
    • He was projected by many to be a lottery pick. The Grizzlies trade down twice, pick up five second-round picks in the process, and get a talented frontcourt player from the international ranks.
  • Round 2, Pick 32: Richie Saunders – B+
    • Saunders had a chance to be a first-round pick if he hadn’t torn his ACL in February. He was a great complementary piece to AJ Dybantsa at BYU, and he can be a solid role player in the NBA.

They then traded down from 17 to 21 to the Pistons, who took Ebuka Okorie — and the Grizzlies got three more second-round picks out of it.
