Meet 2026 Oklahoma City Spark players for inaugural AUSL season

The Oklahoma City Spark will open its fourth season on June 9.
But it will be the start of the team’s first season in the AUSL.
Last fall, the Athletes Unlimited Softball League announced that it was expanding from four to six teams, and one of the two new teams would be the Spark. It joins the league after its runaway success with four barnstorming teams a summer ago.

Billie Andrews
Position: IF
Hometown: Gretna, Nebraska
College: Nebraska
Played Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball AUX in 2024 after finishing her four-year career at Nebraska. Started every game as a Husker, hitting .347 with a school-record 61 home runs
Maya Brady
Position: UTIL
Hometown: Thousand Oaks, California
College: UCLA
Entering her third season after she won the AUSL title last season with the Talons. First player in UCLA history to be a first-team All-American at two different positions.
Jailyn Ford
Position: LHP
Hometown: Hot Springs, Virginia
College: James Madison
Third overall pick in 2016 National Pro Fastpitch draft. Spent several pro seasons in Japan. First-team All-American at JMU, where she set the career record for innings pitched.
Peja Goold
Position: RHP
Hometown: Stockton, California
College: Chattanooga, Mississippi State
Led Mississippi State to its first ever Women’s College World Series appearance this past spring. Had a 15-10 record with a 2.50 ERA and 182 strikeouts as a senior.
Lyndsey Grein
Position: RHP
Hometown: Mokena, Illinois
College: Virginia Tech, Oregon
Recently completed college career at Oregon, where she played two years after two at Virginia Tech. As a Duck, the crafty righty went 53-9 with a 2.45 ERA and 431 strikeouts.
Kinzie Hansen-McKinzie
Position: C
Hometown: Norco, California
College: Oklahoma
Expected to remain on the inactive list this season after announcing recently she and husband, Kobie McKinzie, are expecting their first child. Central part of OU’s four-peat.
Amari Harper
Position: UTIL
Hometown: Corona, California
College: Texas A&M, Oregon
Third-round pick in May’s AUSL College Draft. Spent three years at Texas A&M before finishing at Oregon. Hit .396 with 15 home runs as a Duck. Only had 20 strikeouts with 30 walks.
Grace Jenkins
Position: UTIL
Hometown: Folsom, California
College: UConn, Arizona
Played final college season at Arizona, hitting 14 homers and starting 49 games in right field. Capable catcher expected to help fill the void in Hansen-McKinzie’s absence.
Maya Johnson
Position: LHP
Hometown: Columbia Station, Ohio
College: Belmont
First-round pick in May’s AUSL College Draft. Led nation with 0.78 ERA, 397 strikeouts. Led Belmont to back-to-back NCAA tournaments, its first-ever appearances.
Haley Lee
Position: C
Hometown: Kingwood, Texas
College: Texas A&M, Oklahoma
Entering fourth season with Spark, she also played Athletes Unlimited two seasons. Spent four years at Texas A&M before one season at OU, winning 2023 national championship.
KK Madrey
Position: OF
Hometown: Newnan, Georgia
College: LSU, Liberty
Played last three college seasons at Liberty, hitting .339 and stealing 93 bases. Played last summer for the Spark and rejoined the team this year out of the reserve pool.
Sydney McKinney
Position: IF
Hometown: Norborne, Missouri
College: Wichita State
Second-round pick in December’s AUSL Expansion Draft after being No. 1 overall pick in 2023 AUSL College Draft. Finished at WSU fifth in NCAA history with 378 hits.
Bubba Nickles-Camarena
Position: OF
Hometown: Merced, California
College: UCLA
2020 Olympian who’s been in AUSL since 2021. Spent last season with Bandits, hitting .213 with seven homers, 18 RBIs in 24 games. Made WCWS every season at UCLA.
Maddie Penta
Position: RHP
Hometown: Chesapeake City, Maryland
College: Auburn
Second-round pick in December’s AUSL Allocation Draft. Spent last season with Spark after playing AUSL in 2024. Only Auburn pitcher with 250 strikeouts in three straight seasons.
Sydney Romero
Position: IF
Hometown: San Diego, California
College: Oklahoma
Sixth year in Athletes Unlimited. Won AUSL title with Talons last season. 2020 Olympian with Mexico. Finished OU career second in school history in hits (320) and total bases (558).
Sydney Sherrill
Position: IF
Hometown: Moore
College: Florida State
Former Southmoore High standout is an original Spark. Has been with OKC since 2023 after one Athletes Unlimited season. Won 2018 NCAA championship at FSU.
Alana Vawter
Position: RHP
Hometown: Kansas City, Missouri
College: South Carolina, Stanford
Played last season for the Blaze. Played previous pro season for Association of Fastpitch Professionals. After four years at Stanford, finished college career at South Carolina.
Jessi Warren
Position: IF
Hometown: Tampa, Florida
College: Florida State
Another member of FSU’s 2018 national champion. Played pro for either Athletes Unlimited or National Pro Fastpitch since. 2023 AU Pro Softball Defensive Player of the Year.
Delanie Wisz
Position: IF
Hometown: Orcutt, California
College: UCLA
Played Women’s Pro Fastpitch in 2022, then joined Athletes Unlimited in 2023. Hit .284 with .915 on-base percentage last season with Bandits. 2022 WCWS all-tournament team.
