Adam McKeown and Gary Kelly are into the semi-finals of the men’s pairs after winning their final group game against Fiji in straight sets 9-1, 7-1.
The duo are unbeaten heading into Saturday evening’s final four game against the Malaysian pair of Amirul Danial Abdul Rahim and Mohammad Soufi Rsulu who also came through the group stages without losing a game.
The two countries met each other back in April in a four nations tournament with Northern Ireland coming out on top.
Canada and England will meet in the other semi-final (19:15BST) with the medal matches set for Sunday morning (09:00BST).
