Lowe’s Foundation Launches Skilled Trades Coalition With GM, NVIDIA

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — The Lowe’s Foundation has launched a coalition of more than 75 companies, educators and workforce organizations with a goal of helping train and develop 1 million people for skilled trades careers by 2035. The Building Futures Skilled Trades Coalition includes General Motors, NVIDIA, Carrier, DEWALT, Duke Energy and others. The initiative comes as employers struggle to find enough skilled workers for manufacturing, construction, energy and other industries. An estimated 2.1 million skilled trades jobs could go unfilled by 2030, potentially resulting in economic losses of up to $1 trillion annually, according to U.S. Department of Education data cited by the foundation. — Source: Assembly Breaking News — Read More
