Jaylen Brown’s move to the Philadelphia 76ers rocked the NBA, and made the 5x All Star rethink a few things about the industry he is in.

The Celtics are building in a direction that made holding onto Jaylen Brown untenable — at least in their eyes — so off he went to Philly, teaming up with Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid to battle Boston in the East.

He discussed recent events with streamer IShowSpeed as the two attended the World Cup quarter-final between France and Morocco. Brown gave a warning to him, and to anyone dreaming of making a career in the NBA.

Jaylen Brown tells IShowSpeed to stay away from NBA after Celtics trade

Brown was drafted by the Celtics in 2016, and spent a hugely successful decade at the TD Garden which included a 2024 championship win.

But business is business. He was given his walking papers abruptly, and that was that.

As he explained to IShowSpeed during his World Cup stream: “It’s a crazy business, bro. Don’t become a basketball player.

“There’s no loyalty, there’s no love…They packed me up, sayonara chat, I’m out of here.”

No beating around the bush from Brown, and it makes sense. He finished sixth in MVP voting after a phenomenal season that was meant to be a throwaway year due to Jayson Tatum’s injury.

He took the team on his shoulders and reached the 2-seed, exceeding all expectations.

That ultimately wasn’t enough to keep his place on the roster. Now, Brown faces a new challenge that will almost certainly see him cross paths with his old team, maybe even in a conference finals.

He’ll be looking to prove that the Celtics made the wrong decision. That, you can bet on.
