Golden State defeated Memphis, 94-90, Sunday in the NBA Summer League final at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Former Tennessee basketball player Jahmai Mashack totaled five points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. He converted 2-of-8 field goal attempts and 1-for-4 three-point attempts in 23 minutes for the Grizzlies.
Cameron Boozer and Cedric Coward each scored 19 points for Memphis. Yaxel Lendeborg and Devon Smith scored 21 points each for the Warriors. Lendeborg was named MVP of the championship game.
Mashack was selected in the second round by Memphis with the final pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
The former Vol signed a two-way contract with Memphis on Nov. 16, 2025 and split time between the Grizzlies and the Memphis Hustle in the NBA G League. He began the 2025-26 season with the Hustle and averaged 7.6 points, 5.4 assists and 3.4 steals in five contests before being promoted to Memphis.
Mashack played for the Vols from 2021-25. He appeared in 137 games, including 59 starts, and was named a 2025 Naismith Defensive Player finalist. Mashack earned 2025 SEC All-Defensive Team honors.
