Ibrahim deserves chance to impress – Cleverley

Plymouth Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley says midfielder Bradley Ibrahim deserves a chance to start after his recent performances.
The 21-year-old has made just one league start this season and seen his chances limited since the arrival on loan of Tyreeq Bakinson.
Ibrahim missed a large chunk of last season with an ankle injury, having joined on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Hertha Berlin in June 2025.
But with Bakinson unable to play against parent club Leyton Orient on Saturday Cleverley says Ibrahim could get his chance.
“He’s been brilliant, he’s had great impact in the games he’s come on, he played well against Palace and his training levels have been really high,” Cleverley said.
“People forget how young Bradley is. He’s 21 years old and he’s still learning, but the journey of the last 12 months where he’s learnt a lot – both how to be a professional and how to be effective at the level.
“I see a lot of development in Bradley’s game and we’ll see more and more this season.”
