The 2026 USATF Outdoor Championships, which begin on Thursday, have quite a unique feel to them. This is the first time the championships will be anywhere other than Eugene, Oregon since 2019, and the first time the meet is held in New York since 1991. How to Watch USATF Outdoor Championships

This is the first USATF since 2018 where athletes won’t be aiming to make a World Championship or Olympic team. The names participating, though, are still as big.
In the men’s 100m race, if anyone other than Noah Lyles or Kenny Bednarek wins, it will be quite the surprise. In addition to those two, speedsters Melissa Jefferson-Wooden and Sha’Carri Richardson are racing, Jefferson-Wooden in the 200m and Richardson in the 100m. Two-time Olympic medalist Grant Fisher will run in the 5,000m and 10,000m. 17-year-old Cooper Lutkenhaus goes for his first US outdoor 800m title against Donavan Brazier, who will be chasing his fourth.
In the field, Olympic and World Champion Tara Davis-Woodhall will go for a fourth straight title in the long jump and is also entered in the 100m hurdles, which she hasn’t run in since 2021.
