How the Boston Celtics came back from down 24 vs. the Lakers in the '08 Finals

The Boston Celtics were down by 24 points in the 2008 NBA Finals to their biggest and oldest rivals in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers. It seemed like the new “Big Three” of future Hall of Famers Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen were going to get sent fishing by the worst team to be in a position to do so in the NBA just when hope for a new era of Celtics dominance was coming into focus.
And then they found a way to fight back, walk down the lead, and come away with an improbable victory in one of the biggest comebacks in postseason history. And now two of that trio unite to tell the tale of that fateful game themselves in Pierce and Garnett, with the duo so doing on the latter’s “KG Certified” podcast.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about not just that comeback, but the Truth’s 26-point save in 2004.
