Can a member of the Red Sox bring a Home Run Derby title back to Boston?
Willson Contreras, who has hit 20 home runs this year, is the first Red Sox player to participate in the Home Run Derby since David Ortiz and Adrian Gonzalez back in 2011. He will attempt to beat other sluggers like Junior Caminero, Bryce Harper, Ben Rice and Kyle Schwarber.
This year, participants don’t have to worry about a timer. Players will have 20 swings in Round 1 and 15 swings in Round 2 and the final round. The four players with the highest home run totals in the first round will advance to the semifinals and go head-to-head in order to determine the finalists and champion.

8:08 p.m. ET: As expected, Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper got the loudest ovations.
