After Pat Riley stated that the Miami Heat are still looking to make a few moves in the offseason, including adding more playmaking, certain names should be more enticing to them than others.

The Heat, who don’t have many assets but have a few to make a deal if needed, will probably be in a position to get a player who isn’t great, but certainly above average. One of those guys was recently named Tre Mann, a young guard from the Charlotte Hornets.

“Plucking Tre Mann from Charlotte could help, too, but again, the Heat would have a hard time lining up on a trade. There just are not a lot of quality point guards on the market. The Heat might have to try a longshot minimum free-agent deal with a player like Brandon Williams, Cole Anthony or Gabe Vincent to fill the need,” Sean Deveney wrote.

Mann is certainly a decent playmaker and could fit in well with what the Heat are looking to do.

However, I don’t really view him as much of a difference-maker, and frankly, he’s still more of a project than anything else. The Heat should be interested if he’s available, but I wouldn’t make him my top target.
