Jersey’s Evan Campbell has been disqualified from the 110m hurdles in the decathlon at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The 25-year-old clipped the first barrier and fell before rolling under the second hurdle.
He then ducked under a third barrier after getting back to his feet and was disqualified for not going over each hurdle.
Campbell finished in a time of more than 24 seconds, but was given a score of 0 points for the event meaning he will likely finish last in the standings.
But he will be allowed to carry on competing in the day’s final four disciplines.
Campbell has been the first-ever Jersey man to compete in a Commonwealth Games decathlon and had been 10th out of the 12 competitors at the end of the opening day.
