King Green puts his standup skills to the test against another hard-hitting lightweight at UFC 329.

MMA Fighting’s Damon Martin and Mike Heck confirmed with sources with knowledge of the matchup that Green (35-17-1, 1 NC) is set to fight Terrance McKinney (18-8) on the July 11 event that caps off the UFC’s International Fight Week in Las Vegas. The bout was first reported by Heavy.com.

For Green, this marks his 31st fight for the UFC, with the lightweight lifer having gone 16-12-1 with one no-contest for the promotion. To put things in perspective, when McKinney made his octagon debut in 2021, Green was already 15 fights into his UFC career.

This matchup marks a change of pace for Green, who is coming off of a first-round submission win over fellow veteran Jeremy Stephens at UFC 328 in May. The 39-year-old Green is currently on a three-fight win streak.

McKinney has won three of his last four, most recently needing just 24 seconds to knock out Kyle Nelson at UFC Seattle. With that finish, McKinney maintained his impressive record of never going to the scorecards in 26 pro bouts and none of his past seven fights have gone past the midway point of Round 1.

UFC 329 is headlined by the return of former two-division champion Conor McGregor as he takes on past rival Max Holloway in a rematch at welterweight.
