FSU Seminoles reoffer 2028 in-state edge

The Florida State Seminoles held a camp over the weekend. 2028 edge Jake Bates from Pensacola, Florida, was one of the participants.

He’s a familiar face in Tallahassee, as he also attended a camp in June of 2025, and he received an offer from the Seminoles. On this trip, FSU would extend another offer to the 6-foot-4, 240-pounder.

“#AGTG Extremely blessed and thankful to be REOFFERED by Florida State University! #GoNoles,” Bates announced on social media.

In addition to attending multiple camps at Florida State, Bates was also on campus last November when the program took on the Virginia Tech Hokies. He’s also participated in camps with the Auburn Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks, plus he got an invite to the Under Armour Next Camp in Orlando back in February.

Bates only appeared in two games at Pensacola Catholic High School as a sophomore and finished with four tackles. He also plays some tight end for the Crusaders.

At the moment, he doesn’t have a ranking on any major recruiting sites.
