Former OU women's basketball guard Ana Llanusa named Norman head coach

Former OU basketball player Ana Llanusa has been hired to lead the Norman High School girls program, the school announced Tuesday.
A former Choctaw standout, Llanusa was a five-star recruit out of high school and won a Class 6A state title in 2017.
She was named The Oklahoman’s Super 5 Player of the Year that season before playing at OU from 2017 to 2023 and averaging 14.3 points per game with the Sooners.
NPS Athletics is excited to announce Ana Llanusa as the new Head Girls Basketball Coach at Norman HS.

After serving as an assistant at Choctaw, Llanusa will fill the spot vacated by Chad Thrailkill, who recruited Llanusa to OU. He led Norman for one season and is now at Bethany.
Norman struggled this past year, going 8-16 and falling at regionals.
Frankie Parks led the Tigers to the Class 6A semifinals the season before that and is currently an assistant at Southern Nazarene University.
