Former Detroit Lions DL Brodric Martin signs with NFC West foe

After being waived by the Las Vegas Raiders in May, Detroit Lions‘ 2023 3rd-rounder and former defensive lineman Brodric Martin has agreed to terms on a deal to join the Cardinals, as Arizona looks to use the former Western Kentucky Hilltopper as depth to their defensive line this season.
The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder struggled to get his footing in the starting rotation during his two seasons in the Motor City, where he registered four total tackles (one solo, three assisted) in one start across only five games played.
After being waived by the Lions in April 2025, he has spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and previously mentioned Raiders, appearing in one game for the Steelers last season.

The move by the Cardinals is a direct response to the franchise placing defensive lineman PJ Mustipher on the injured reserve following a foot injury suffered in training camp.
Contract details surrounding the deal with the Cardinals are still unclear at this time, per Spotrac.
While he will join the back end of the Cardinals’ depth chart on the defensive line, it is another quality opportunity to make his mark in the league in his fourth professional season.
