Florida's top uncommitted recruit announces commitment date

Four-star defensive back recruit Censere Gaylord is ready to announce his commitment. The talented class of 2027 defensive back will decide among his top three schools on Saturday, July 11.
Gaylord plays defensive back for IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The four-star’s final three schools are the Georgia Bulldogs, Washington Huskies and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Gaylord recently visited each of his top schools ahead of his commitment. 247Sports predicts that the IMG Academy star will commit to Washington.
Georgia has recently landed elite IMG Academy defensive back recruits like Ellis Robinson and Daylen Everette.
The 6-foot, 165-pound defensive back is the top uncommitted recruit in Florida, per 247Sports. He is the No. 113 recruit in the nation and the No. 13 cornerback. Gaylord is the No. 12 recruit in Florida. If Gaylord commits to Washington, then he’d become the Huskies‘ top-ranked recruit in the 2027 cycle.
Defensive back stands out as an obvious position of need for coach Kirby Smart and Georgia. The Bulldogs have no current commitments at cornerback or safety in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
Georgia has 17 total commitments in the class of 2027 and the No. 17 recruiting class in the country. Georgia’s recruiting class is ranked higher than both Georgia Tech (No. 24) and Washington (No. 25).
