Florida State softball gets commitment from Tennesse transfer Ella Dodge

Florida State softball added another portal addition on Friday, getting a commitment from Tennessee’s star infielder Ella Dodge.

Entering as a redshirt junior, Dodge will have two seasons remaining after spending the previous three at UT. During her time on Rocky Top, she was a staple on the infield, as well as in the batting order. She comes with a career .262 batting average with 82 runs, 82 hits, 18 homers and 61 RBI.

This previous season, she had a breakout year, tallying 46 RBI, 50 runs, 49 hits, 11 homers and 33 walks with a .275 batting average.

The Bradenton, FL native graduated from Lakewood Ranch HS, entering college with multiple national rankings.

Dodge joins Stetson’s Nicole Edmiaston in the current transfer class.
