It was an incredible year for girls track and field in Livingston County, with county records falling in three of 17 events.
Brighton’s Juliet Lewis set the county 800-meter record after it was briefly taken by Pinckney’s Jaelyn Ray. Ray ran the fastest 1,600 in county history and the second-fastest 800s and 3,200s. Ray won the 3,200 in the state Division 2 finals.
Brighton’s 3,200 relay team, anchored by Lewis, set a county record at regionals.
Hartland’s Elliana Neuer had performances that put her in the top three all-time in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 and was the state Division 1 champion in the 1,600.
