Week 1 is done, and fantasy football managers already have new insights to consider for Week 2.
Some of the league’s top running backs underperformed in their season openers, while others immediately demonstrated their value as high draft picks. Jahmyr Gibbs gained 156 rushing yards and scored twice, D’Andre Swift amassed 32.4 fantasy points, and David Montgomery scored three touchdowns.
However, fantasy managers should avoid overreacting to a single game. Saquon Barkley, James Cook, and De’Von Achane all had poor Week 1 performances, but their workload and talent ensure they remain valuable starters.

Week 2 RB Sleepers
Jadarian Price, Seahawks
Price is one of the most intriguing RB sleepers of the week. Seattle created plenty of rushing room in Week 1, and Arizona enters Week 2 with one of the league’s least favorable defensive profiles against opposing running backs.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Commanders
Croskey-Merritt immediately made an impact in Week 1 by leading Washington’s backfield in touches. He’s a particularly interesting option for fantasy managers looking for an RB2 or Flex play heading into the matchup with Dallas.
Week 2 RB Busts
Quinshon Judkins, Browns
Judkins struggled badly in his NFL debut, rushing for only 33 yards on 12 carries. He averaged just 2.8 yards per carry and now faces Tampa Bay, making him a risky Week 2 start.
Tony Pollard, Titans
Pollard split snaps nearly evenly with Tyjae Spears in Week 1 and managed only 34 total yards on eight touches. Tennessee’s offense also struggled to produce, making Pollard a difficult player to trust against Philadelphia.
