Falcons offensive line ranked among NFL's top 10 units

There are more questions than answers regarding the Atlanta Falcons and how they’ll do in the 2026 NFL season, especially after a major front office overhaul and a quarterback competition to come.

However, if there’s one thing that Atlanta fans can bank on it’s the strength of their offensive line.

Last year the Falcons had one of the better units in the league and going into 2026 they should only do better now that they have the legendary Bill Callahan as their coach. They also have the all-important continuity going for them. According to an analysis by Warren Sharp, Atlanta’s offensive line is the 10th-best in the NFL this year.

“The unit finished 14th in pass block win rate in 2025. They added former Chief Jawaan Taylor in free agency to play right tackle following Kaleb McGary’s retirement. The Falcons’ line was very healthy last year, with four starters playing over 1,000 snaps at their respective positions.”

From left to right the Falcons will be starting long-time veteran Jake Matthews at left tackle, 26-year old Matthew Bergeron at left guard, Ryan Neuzil returning at center, four-time Pro Bowler Chris Lindstrom at right guard and either Jawaan Taylor or Wanya Morris starting at right tackle in place of McGary.

That’s a strong line returning four of five starters from 2025 – and one that should have a chance to finish among the NFL’s best units this year.

Matthews is of course the most-critical piece and the veteran leader of this group, but the real strength of this unit is their starting guard combo, which has been ranked one of the top-five in the NFL by Sports Illustrated.
