Jones has three top-6 finishes in the last six races, and the No. 43 car continues to be a consistent threat in the top 20 spots. The driver of the No. 43 car had a best finish of second place at Michigan International Speedway. With nine races left in the 2026 Cup Series regular season, this will be an all-out fight for the Chase.
There will be questions on whether Jones and the No. 43 team for Legacy Motor Club can keep this consistent speed moving forward. If so, the Michigan native should be in a good spot. Jones has been getting close to victory lane in 2026, and he could find a way to accomplish that in the coming weeks.
