Drake London sends Falcons fans a message after signing extension

The Atlanta Falcons held Drake London out of Monday’s OTAs so he could officially sign a four-year, $141 million contract extension to remain in Atlanta for the next five seasons. London will be the third-highest paid wide receiver in the NFL once his extension kicks in.

The former top-10 pick out of USC has been the only consistently good wide receiver on the roster since being drafted back in 2022. London’s numbers may not be up there with the elite players at his position, but he played with below-average quarterbacks for his first few seasons in Atlanta.

Upon signing his contract extension on Monday, London posted a message to his fans on social media.

“Hey, Dirty Birds, at the facility – just signed the contract,” said London. “Excited and ecstatic to be here for another four years, and blessed to be in the A. Love y’all, man. Appreciate every single one of y’all.”

London will average $35.25 million per season on his new deal, which includes $100 million in guaranteed money. The Falcons are hoping to take some pressure off of London this season after drafting Zachariah Branch and signing Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus in free agency.

Over four NFL seasons, the 24-year-old has recorded 309 catches for 3,961 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns over 62 games. Expect London to return for OTAs on Tuesday now that his extension is official.
