While the Miami Dolphins haven’t played well to start this season, sitting at 0-4, there actually have been some bright spots for the organization.

It’ll be interesting to see which way the Dolphins want to go over the next couple of months, though it seems safe to say that they aren’t going to move on from any premium draft capital to land a player.

For the Dolphins, that likely means moving no more than a fourth-round pick to land even a young player they might want to take a chance on.

However, with Malik Willis needing more weapons, there’s certainly an argument that the Dolphins should move at least a third-round pick to land a decent wide receiver they believe they can develop into what they were expected to be coming out of college.

A guy like Marvin Harrison Jr. or Brian Thomas Jr. could be the perfect candidate, which is exactly what Bleacher Report recently suggested in a deal for Thomas with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“Miami Dolphins receive: WR Brian Thomas Jr.

Jacksonville Jaguars receive: 2027 third-round draft pick

“The Miami Dolphins entered the 2026 NFL season with low expectations and an 0-4 start is hardly shocking. It’s now up to the front office to decide if the club should try to turn things around now or wait until the offseason to make major moves. The team has issues up-and-down the roster, ranking bottom-three in total and passing offense in addition to coming in dead-last in scoring offense.

“The defense is faring a bit better and ranks towards the middle of the pack in most major categories, but isn’t anywhere near good enough to carry the team to respectability,” Bleacher Report wrote.

Thomas is tough to evaluate because there have been times over the past couple of seasons when he looked like a legitimate option as a WR1-caliber player.

However, for most of the past two seasons, he really doesn’t look like much of anything. The Jaguars have gone to other receivers far more than him, and it doesn’t always feel like the cleanest fit in that offense.
