The Dallas Cowboys have added a lot of talent over the last two seasons, but some of those players will eventually need new contracts. So, who’s first in line for an extension? George Pickens, DeMarvion Overshown, and Quinnen Williams all have valid cases, but the draft capital spent to land Williams theoretically moves him to the top of the list. More importantly, he gives the Cowboys something they’ve been searching for: a dominant presence at defensive tackle.
Dallas has a full season before it needs to make any major contract decisions. In the meantime, a Super Bowl-winning edge rusher has been lobbying for a chance to join the team: Von Miller.
The Texas native has flirted with the idea of playing for the Cowboys throughout his career, but this time feels different. While his production isn’t what it once was, he can still generate pressure on opposing quarterbacks and has ties to defensive coordinator Christian Parker.
