Chiefs add depth to their TE position with the latest signing

The Kansas City Chiefs are adding another tight end to the roster with the signing of free agent Mason Pline.
According to the NFL daily transactions log for Wednesday, the Chiefs have added Pine to fill the roster spot previously held by offensive lineman Wanya Morris, who was traded to the Atlanta Falcons.
Pline went undrafted in 2024, spending practice-squad tenures with the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints without appearing in any regular-season games. He earned a tryout with the Chiefs last month during offseason workouts, turning enough heads to sign an official contract before training camp in July.
During his college career at Furman, the 6-7, 260-pound tight end played 13 games in 2023, securing 32 catches for 287 yards and four touchdowns. Pline has a background in basketball, showcasing athleticism for his big frame.
Kansas City currently has Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, and Jared Wiley as the returning tight ends from last season’s roster.
