Chase Hunter perfect from field in Warriors Summer League win

On July 3rd, former Clemson guard Chase Hunter played 10 minutes for the Golden State Warriors Gold in California Classic Summer League action and finished with seven points on perfect shooting as the Warriors rolled past the Los Angeles Lakers 104-72.
Hunter went 2-for-2 from the field, 1-for-1 from three, and 2-for-2 at the free-throw line.
The easiest way to stand out sometimes is not by hijacking the game. It is by making the shots that come to you and not looking out of place, and Hunter did that.
Golden State was in cruise control most of the night, winning by 32 points and getting a strong game from Michigan golden boy Yaxel Lendeborg, who led the Warriors with 19 points. The Lakers, led by former Baylor, 24th overall pick in the 2026 draft Cameron Carr never really found a rhythm, shooting 38 percent from the field and 23 percent from three as the game got away from them.

There was also another Clemson connection in the box score. Jack Clark, who played the 2023-24 season at Clemson before transferring to VCU, also got minutes for Golden State. Clark played eight minutes, scored two points on 1-for-1 shooting, and added a rebound.

Hunter’s path is not complicated. He has to show he can hit more open shots and play more like a grown guard.
