As expected by fans following the third and final match in the trilogy versus Oba Femi, long-time veteran and decorated combat star Brock Lesnar has retired once again, possibly for good, from the WWE ring.
Following one of Lesnar’s toughest battles in a Hell in a Cell with rising star Oba Femi, the former WWE & UFC Champion was moved to the “alumni” section on WWE’s official website.
In addition to being removed from the active roster, a special video package on Lesnar was posted on WWE’s Instagram, featuring the World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, who thanked the former champion for their time in the ring and also praised Lesnar.

Long-time manager of Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, also shared a moment with Oba Femi on Raw as a follow-up on the match. The rising star would ask Heyman to thank Lesnar for their battles together and for dubbing him “the future of WWE” at SummerSlam.
WWE Career
Signing with WWE in 2000, Brock Lesnar was dubbed “The Next Big Thing” in wrestling and took the sport by storm within four years, winning the King of the Ring tournament, the Royal Rumble, and the WWE Championship before ultimately leaving in 2004 to pursue an NFL career.
He’d return to WWE in 2012, becoming an immediate high-profile player in the company, going on to defeat the Undertaker at WrestleMania in 2014 to end his undefeated streak before being given a few runs with the WWE Championship and the WWE Universal Championship.

Lesnar would also be featured in several feuds during his second run with WWE that fans are sure to remember, especially against the likes of Goldberg, John Cena, and Roman Reigns.
His contract would end in 2020, and he would not be brought back until SummerSlam 2021, when his rivalry with Cena was reignited and would span all the way until the 17-time world champion’s final year.
Capping off his career in a Hell in a Cell against Oba Femi, Lesnar did what most of the greatest wrestlers before him did on the way out, and that is put over the next potential WWE superstar.
