Boston Celtics fans might want to buy some stock in Dillon Mitchell. Or at least that is the point of view of the hosts of the “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, who took a moment on a recent episode of their show to dig into the surprising play of the St. John’s forward with the Sin City Celtics in Las Vegas Summer League.
And there, Mitchell turned heads with a newly-developed jump shot he connected from beyond the arc at a 37.5 percent rate while going on to connect 47.2 percent of shots overall (but just 20.0 percent from the free throw line). Logging 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 2.7 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game with the Summer Celtics, fans are rightfully getting excited.
