The 2026 high school football season is right around the corner and when Week 1 action kicks off on Friday, August 28, it will mark the beginning of a new classification cycle, with Beaver Valley teams taking on some new faces.
Aliquippa and Ambridge make the move down to Class 3A, while Quaker Valley drops down to 2A. Ellwood City and OLSH jump up from 2A to 3A, Central Valley moves from 3A to 4A and West Allegheny jumps up to 5A.
Along with the new classification cycle, Moon Area and OLSH will be without a home stadium this season due to the ongoing renovations to Tiger Stadium in Moon Township.
Moon Area will play a pair of its home games against Penn-Trafford and North Hills at Joe Walton Stadium and another at West Allegheny’s Joe P. DeMichela Stadium.
OLSH’s home for the 2026 campaign will be at Quaker Valley’s Chuck Knox Stadium, while the location of its game against Hopewell on October 15 is to be determined.
